They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. The RN practices in a clinical environment supported through a professional governance model. They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards set by professional nursing associations. As a member of the patient services team, the RN upholds the voice of the patient and system policies. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: The RN performs the Nursing Process, including assessment, diagnosis, and planning.
