Description:
The position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse.
The unit accepts first-time travelers.
Patient ratios are 1:6.
Travelers will be required to float to like units of equal acuity as needed based on facility needs.
The job involves care for adult and geriatric patients.
Previous experience in staffing and scheduling is preferred.
Skills related to blood product administration, central line blood draws, colostomy and ileostomy management are essential.
Experience with feeding tube management and hemodialysis pre/post management is required.
Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge are important.
Knowledge of phlebotomy and oxygen administration is necessary.
Wound care and use of wound vacs are part of the role.
Travelers should ensure compliance with required lab tests in a timely manner.
Modules will be completed onsite during orientation.
