TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, CPI preferred Must-Have: EPIC experience required Ability to work holidays Willingness to care for COVID patients Availability for inclement weather team Description: The unit has a maximum patient-to-nurse ratio of 6 to 1. Nurses will be assigned to night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Travelers may work 36 or 48 hours per week. Charge nurse experience is preferred for night travelers. Floating to similar units and alternate care locations may be required. Travelers must be available to work every other weekend. The unit may occasionally treat adults and geriatric general medical and surgical patients. Key responsibilities include managing heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high flow oxygen. Nurses should have skills in BiPAP/CPAP management and starting IVs. Daily census is approximately 43 patients. Nurses must adhere to the attendance and call-off policy. All staff are required to attend monthly unit team meetings. Potential for working during catastrophic events and disasters exists. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start of their contract. Travelers will be integrated into existing interdisciplinary support teams. Meeting invitations will be added to staff calendars accordingly. All travelers and staff are expected to demonstrate teamwork and meet behavioral expectations.
