Description:
48 hours guaranteed with an option.
Unit specifics include 20 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6.
Unit staffing includes a unit secretary during the day and PCTs available.
There is a unit educator on site.
Documentation system used on the unit is Meditech.
Scheduling requirements include 3 weekend shifts per month.
There are no on-call requirements.
Agency and contract nurses float to other units first.
Patient experience is a focus, and the unit is recognized for teamwork.
Procedures performed include med/surg care, with dialysis done off the unit.
General comments state that virtual nursing assists with patient admissions, allowing bedside nurses to focus on other responsibilities.
Dress code requires royal blue scrubs, with the option to wear black scrub pants.
