Description:
48 hours guaranteed per week.
This position requires a registered nurse to provide care for patients in a medical-surgical setting.
The unit primarily focuses on nephrology and kidney transplant patients.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6.
There are 20 beds available in this unit.
Support staff includes unit secretaries and patient care technicians available during shifts.
A unit educator is also present.
Documentation will be completed using the Meditech system.
Three weekend shifts are required each month.
There is no on-call requirement.
Agency or contract nurses are prioritized for floating to other units as per the policy.
Patient experience is a key focus, with support from a virtual nurse for patient admissions.
Teamwork is recognized with awards, highlighting a collaborative work environment.
Dress code is royal blue scrubs, with the option to wear black scrub pants.
