Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical / Telemetry – Alabama

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Alabama

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, Days (0700-1930). Block scheduling may be accommodated. Patient ratio 1:6-7. Daily census of 42 beds.

  • Orthopedic unit with medical-surgical and telemetry overflow requiring cardiac drip proficiency
  • Must be proficient in titrating cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
  • Flexible scheduling options with block scheduling available
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory services, lift teams, and rapid response teams
  • First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of acute care experience
  • Pre-start modules required (non-billable)

Requirements:

  • Active Alabama RN license required at time of submission (pending license acceptable)
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
  • Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
  • Preferred certification: ACLS
  • Proficiency in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
  • Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)
  • Experience working in large healthcare facilities
  • Must reside at least 90 miles from facility location
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
  • Navy blue scrubs required
