There is a unit educator present. Type of equipment includes a documentation system. Scheduling requirements include three weekend shifts per month. There are no on-call requirements. Agency and contract nurses float first. Patient experience requirements are specific to the hospital. No certifications are required other than BLS. Dress code is royal blue scrubs; black scrub pants are allowed. Procedures performed on the unit involve medical-surgical care. Dialysis is conducted off the unit.
