Description:
48 hours guaranteed preferred.
Unit has 49 beds.
Patient ratio is 1:5.
Unit staffing includes 1 Unit Secretary and 5 PCTs on Days/3 PCTs on Nights.
Type of equipment includes Welch Allen / Dynamap VS machines, bladder scanner, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, and wound vacs.
Documentation system is Meditech.
Scheduling requirements are for 12-hour shifts with 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule period.
Floating policy follows facility policy.
Patient experience requires making personal connections with all patients, employing AIDET, bedside shift report, and hourly rounding.
Procedures performed on the unit include IVs, foley catheters, external urinary catheters, wound care, post-op care, trach care, NG tubes, and feeding tubes.
Dress code requires navy blue scrub top, navy or black scrub pant, and undershirt and/or scrub jacket in navy, white, or black.
No sweatshirts or track jackets are permitted.
