# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Orthopedic/Medical-Surgical Telemetry) – AlabamaStart Date: November 9, 2026Location: Southeast AlabamaCompensation: Details provided to qualified applicantsSchedule: Flexible 3x12 or 4x12 shifts, days (0700-1930). Block scheduling may be accommodated. Patient ratio 1:6-7.Highlights:- Primary orthopedic unit with medical-surgical and telemetry overflow requiring cardiac drip proficiency- Must be proficient in managing cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone- 42-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Lift Teams, and Physical Therapy- First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of RN experience- Block scheduling options available to support work-life balance- Navy blue scrubs providedRequirements:- Active Alabama RN license (pending license acceptable at submission)- Minimum 1 year of registered nursing experience- BLS and NIHSS certification required; ACLS preferred- Proficiency in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias- Experience with titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)- Medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience- Permanent address must be at least 90 miles from facility location- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)Why It's a Great Opportunity:This position offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise in orthopedic nursing while maintaining critical care skills with telemetry overflow patients.
