Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical-Surgical Stroke Stepdown – New York

Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts. Floating to other units as needed.
Highlights:- 64-bed Medical-Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit specializing in stroke care and complex medical conditions
- Diverse case mix including stroke, altered mental status, renal/dialysis, COPD, CHF, isolation patients, and general medical-surgical conditions
- Work with specialty equipment including IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
- EPIC EMR system experience preferred
- Adult patient population with opportunities to develop critical thinking and assessment skills
- Navy blue scrubs provided
Requirements:- Active New York RN license required
- Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical experience with stroke stepdown background
- Documented travel nursing experience required
- Current AHA BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (may be obtained prior to start date)
- EPIC EMR experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Time off requests must be submitted at time of application
