Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical care for a rewarding travel assignment at Regional West in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. This role involves providing comprehensive, compassionate care to a diverse adult patient population recovering from various medical conditions and surgical procedures. As a Medical Surgical RN, you will manage a caseload of patients, performing assessments, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and educating patients and their families. You will work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor patient progress, identify changes in status, and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medication regimens, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Medical Surgical RN in an acute care setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
