Description:
The unit is a new medical/surgical unit that operates in a fast-paced environment.
It features a 15-bed capacity with all private rooms.
Patients are admitted and cared for until they are assigned to a specific unit.
The nurse to patient ratio is 5:1 during the day and 6:1 at night.
The role includes performing initial admissions and care for medical/surgical patients.
Equipment utilized in the unit includes EPIC, Zebra phones for communication, Omnicell for medications, and Aleris IV pumps.
Nurses will float to other medical/surgical units as needed.
Candidates must be able to work every other weekend and holiday.
Charting is performed using the EPIC system.
No on-call duty is required.
Cancellation policy allows for calling off up to 12 hours per 13 weeks without penalty.
