Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a large hospital (200 beds minimum) or level 2 trauma center. Travel experience required unless extensive experience in a large level 1 facility. License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS - must be AHA certified Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience. Experience with surgical oncology patients preferred but not required. EPIC experience is required. Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for medical surgical patients and surgical oncology patients. This role involves collaborating with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse will demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge, utilizing appropriate age and population-specific standards. Expected nurse to patient ratio is 5:1 on the day shift. Floating to other medical surgical units may be required. Equipment utilized in the department includes EMR EPIC, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry.
