Experience in a Level 1 trauma center. Epic experience is required. Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment. Description: This unit consists of 15 private beds for patients ready to be discharged from the ER but not yet assigned to a specific unit. The RN will perform initial admissions and provide care for the patient until transfer to their new unit. The role requires general medical/surgical patient care. Communication will utilize Zebra phones, while medications are managed via Omnicell. Aleris IV pumps are used for IV medication administration. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1 during the day and 6:1 at night. The position requires floating to other medical/surgical units as needed. Navy blue scrubs are the designated dress code. The unit operates under a cancellation policy allowing for short-notice cancellations. There is no on-call requirement associated with this position.
