Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day/Night Rotate Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Medical Surgical License: Active RN License (North Dakota or Compact State) Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years recent Medical Surgical experience in a larger hospital (200 beds minimum) or level 2 trauma center - Travel experience required, unless multiple years of experience in a large level 1 facility - Experience with surgical oncology patients preferred, but not required - EPIC experience Description: Collaborates with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge. Utilizes appropriate age and population-specific standards as designated in the clinical setting. Unit consists of 47 beds with a nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights. Nurses may be required to float to other medical/surgical units as needed. General job duties include caring for medical surgical patients and surgical oncology patients. Experience with bladder scanners, telemetry, and electronic medical records is required. Nurses must badge in and out when entering the facility.
