Description: The position involves working with Medical Surgical and Surgical Oncology patients. The nurse will collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge. Utilizes appropriate age and population-specific standards as designated in the assigned clinical setting. The unit has a 47-bed capacity with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 on day shifts and 6:1 on night shifts. The position may require floating to various medical/surgical units within the facility. General job duties include patient care management and collaboration with healthcare team members. All nurses must badge in and out when entering the facility. Scrubs must be navy blue.
