Experience: At least 24 months of Med Surg/Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience required. Previous travel experience in the past 18 months required.
License: Must hold an active Iowa license or compact multistate license.
Certifications: BLS (AHA) required. De-escalation certificate (MAB, MOAB, CPI, SAMA) highly preferred.
Must-Have: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system required.
Description:
Quickly interviewing viable candidates.
Candidates must be located at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license.
Candidates are required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming Winter holidays, unless the unit is closed.
Candidates must have a skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline.
Professional references from supervisors or nurse managers within the last 24 months are preferred.
De-escalation certificate can be obtained during onboarding.
Trauma level I experience is highly preferred.
Travelers will be required to float across all campuses.
Navy blue scrubs are required.
Unit has a bed size of 22 and a patient ratio of 5:1.
Patient types include general medical surgical cases.
Drips administered include Heparin.
Weekend shifts are usually every other weekend, flexible depending on department needs.
