Requirements:

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• BLS Certification via AHA required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing specialty preferred
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Competency in administering medications, monitoring treatments, and managing complex patient needs

Responsibilities:

• Practice independently as a competent nurse, demonstrating awareness of all relevant clinical aspects
• Provide nursing care utilizing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given accurately in EPIC
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively
