Description:
Join our dedicated Med/Surg team in a 16-bed unit.
You will provide exceptional care to a diverse patient population.
We maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring high-quality, personalized care in a supportive environment.
The unit features a CNA available for assistance.
Expect a high turnover of patients with frequent admissions and discharges throughout the day.
Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients with various medical conditions.
Patients may present with respiratory issues, cellulitis, and congestive heart failure (CHF).
You will also manage surgical cases, including colon resections and orthopedic procedures.
Monitor patients using telemetry; RNs are responsible for interpreting their own strips.
Collaborate with a small team, including a clinical care coordinator and a charge nurse.
A house supervisor will support the team on weekends.
Assist in outpatient infusions as needed, though experience is preferred.

A strong focus on thorough charting is essential due to our commitment to quality care and maintaining lower patient ratios.
No call requirements are present, but volunteer opportunities are available.
Colored tops are acceptable if layered with a designated outer garment.
Weekend commitments may vary, with every other or every third weekend required.
Volunteers for holiday shifts are appreciated; no mandatory requirements are in place.
Floating may be available to assist as a safety sitter or in other supportive roles.
Access to various equipment is available, including high-flow oxygen and Vapotherm; more complex respiratory support is transferred to appropriate units.
