Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit within a Long-Term Acute Care setting
- Monitor and assess patients with neurological and telemetry needs, implementing appropriate nursing interventions
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends, shared among 6–8 staff members
- Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
- Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience
- Neurological nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience
- Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting
- Familiarity with progressive care or adult multi-specialty environments
- Comfort with rotating on-call responsibilities in a fast-paced acute care environment
