**Exciting Opportunity for Med/Surg RN - Day Shift**
**Job Description:**

**Position Details:**
- Role: Med/Surg RN
- Shift: Day Shift, 0615 to 1845
- Schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver exceptional patient care within the RN scope of practice.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop effective care plans.
- Monitor and reassess patients frequently, reporting any changes in condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, and treatments accurately and timely.
- Operate infusion pumps and document accurately in the electronic health record.
- Utilize Care Compass for organizing and documenting assessments and patient education.
- Perform age-specific nursing care tailored to patients' needs.
- Demonstrate expertise in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
- Follow infection prevention practices and maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care continuity.
- Serve as a mentor to nursing staff and promote continuous learning.
**Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 5 years of Med Surg or Emergency Room experience.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Proficient in Cerner EHR/EMR.
- Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- Current Colorado or Compact RN license.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Basic computer skills and electronic health record experience.
**Work Environment:**
- Hospital setting with exposure to work stress and moderate noise.
- Physical demands include lifting, pushing, pulling, and assisting patient movements.
- Potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other health hazards.
