Job Title: Registered Nurse - Centralized Registry Float Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Indiana RN license or compact license Certifications: BLS through AHA Must-Have: - 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience - 1 year of MedSurg experience at a large hospital with more than 450 beds Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a diverse environment. The nurse will manage patients with chronic illnesses, GI issues, infections, neurological issues, and mental health disorders. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, care planning, and inter-professional communication. Clinical tasks involve utilizing electronic health records, IV pumps, wound vacs, telemetry monitoring, and other medical equipment. Patient ratios range from 1:5-6. Nurses will float to other medical units as needed. 12-hour shifts will include working three weekends in a four-week period. Dress code requires Caribbean blue scrubs. Orientation program includes general hospital orientation and nursing orientation with Epic charting classes.
