Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical – Kansas
Start Date: October 5, 2026 (additional orientation dates available bi-weekly through November 2026)
Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week with every other weekend rotation. Holiday rotation required (2 federal holidays per year; 1 spring and 2 winter non-essential holidays). Healthcare professionals may request 1 holiday off.

- 32-bed general medical inpatient unit caring for patients with respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, musculoskeletal diagnoses, dialysis (hemo and peritoneal), sepsis, and other various infections
- Epic charting system with test-out option available

- Contract length: 26-51 weeks preferred (longer contracts receive priority; 13-week contracts considered case-by-case)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
- Float requirements to other post-surgical and medical surgical inpatient floors
Requirements:
- Active Kansas or Multistate RN license (no disciplinary actions allowed)
- Current AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
- ADN or BSN degree
- Minimum 1 year of acute care medical/surgical experience required
- No first-time travelers
- Vaccination requirements: Immunity status of Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella (titer) or proof of vaccination series completion; TDaP vaccine; Influenza vaccine or exemption request during flu season; TB documentation
