Description:
The primary position will be in the rehabilitation unit.
The traveler will float to Med/Surg if not needed in rehabilitation.
Supports and promotes the mission and values of the organization.
Renders professional nursing care to patients within the assigned unit.
Carries out orders placed by the provider responsible for the patients' medical care.
Provides comprehensive clinical documentation including care plans each shift.
Seeks feedback regarding practice and takes appropriate actions.
Communicates patient information for continuity and safe care through bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding.
Is compliant in achieving unit-specific competencies and requirements.
Completes all net learning modules within the identified timeframe.
Promotes a culture of well-being by decreasing alarm fatigue.
Fosters a positive culture within the department each shift.
Ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following established procedures and protocols.
Identifies and assists in correcting patient care safety issues.
Works within guidelines to promote error reporting and the adoption of safe practices.
Ensures issues are addressed through the appropriate use of the chain of command.
Participates in daily unit-based safety huddles.
Maintains knowledge and understanding of the organization's overall strategic plan.
Stays updated with unit-based nurse-sensitive indicators.
Actively participates in quality initiatives and performance improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
Collaborates with nurses in other departments to draw upon expertise in various clinical areas.

Accesses providers in the basket to follow up on labs and tests ordered per protocol.
Documents point-of-care tests after completion of testing.
