Call rotation is required. Experience with patient ratios of 1:6 preferred. Description: RN needed for medical surgical/general surgery unit. Candidates may work 3x12 or 4x12 shifts, with a preference for 4x12. The unit has a weekend and holiday rotation, as well as a call rotation. Patient diagnoses include general surgery, with a focus on procedures such as thyroidectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, and more. Candidates with prior charge experience are preferred. Previous experience in an acute care facility and familiarity with Epic charting system is required. Skills such as managing ports, blood product administration, and hemodialysis management are important. All travelers should be aware that during the hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.
