**Exciting Opportunity for Acute Travel RN: Med/Surg (8th Floor) at Conemaugh MMC!**
Join a dynamic and innovative team in a cutting-edge facility known for its clinical excellence and exceptional patient outcomes. We are seeking a dedicated Acute Travel RN for the Med/Surg unit, working the night shift from 7PM to 7AM.
**Position Highlights:**
- **Unit Specialization:** Neuro Med Surg
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36
- **Weekend Requirements:** 2 of 4 weekends per schedule, or 4 of the 8 weekend shift days; straight weekends available if preferred.
- **Patient Ratios:** 5:1 or 6:1
- **Number of Beds:** 22
- **Equipment:** Mindray vital sign machines, GE EKG, cardiac monitors
- **EHR:** EPIC
- **Patient Population:** Adult
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with neurological conditions, including CVA, TIA, and seizures.
- Conduct dysrhythmia and math dosage assessments on the first day of orientation.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
**Qualifications:**
- **Required Certifications:** NIH Stroke Scale and Swallow Screen preferred.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in an acute care setting, preferably with neuro experience.
- **Skills:** Competence in dysrhythmia; strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
**Orientation Details:**
- **Start Date:** Weekly orientation on Mondays
- **Pre-employment Requirements:**
- Complete all necessary screenings and clearances.

- **Scrub Color:** Any
