Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a Medical Surgical setting
  • Work night shifts in a 24/7 healthcare facility, including assigned weekends and at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract period
  • Float as required, including to Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or other units, and may serve as a Patient Observer (Sitter) when needed
  • Perform duties that include ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs; role involves frequent physical activity
  • Take call as assigned and maintain availability for the full term of the contractual engagement
  • Document patient care using Cerner (preferred)
Required Qualifications
  • Active Missouri RN license or valid Compact RN license - must be in hand at time of start
  • ACLS certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
  • Must be willing and able to float to other units, including serving as a Patient Observer (Sitter)
  • Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible to submit; candidates residing 51-74 miles away may be offered a local rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though first-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Familiarity with Medical Surgical and Telemetry patient populations
