TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Florence, South Carolina, 29505!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years highly preferred License: SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Candidates must be able to work holidays. Description: Registered Nurse needed for a Medical Surgical/General Surgery unit. This is a 13-week contract position. The start date will be 2-3 weeks from the offer. The manager will accept shifts of 3x12s or 4x12s, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with a preference for 4x12s. Weekend coverage and holiday rotation are required. Call rotation will be part of the responsibilities. Patient ratios are typically 1:6, with 7 on occasion. First-time travelers are welcome, but experience is preferred. The facility prioritizes candidates with a South Carolina RN license in hand. Candidates with a pending license may also be considered if they can complete the South Carolina walk-through process. All required certifications include BLS and ACLS, with NIHSS preferred. Experience with charting in the Epic system is required. Candidates should have skills in various areas such as managing ports, blood product administration, and wound care. Floating within the scope of practice to meet facility needs is expected. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. All requested time off must be provided upfront upon submission. Approved time off is based on the unit's needs. The facility consists of 396 staffed beds. Daily census is approximately 35 patients. Most patient diagnoses are related to general surgery. Candidates should be prepared for diverse patient care and quick adaptation to the work environment. Professional demeanor and commitment to patient care are essential.
