Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Hematology Oncology – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day/Night or Night shift available. Patient ratio goal of 1:4, may extend to 1:5. Weekend coverage variable based on unit needs. No blocked scheduling. Floating to other Med/Surg and Oncology units as needed.

Highlights:

• 36-bed Med/Surg Oncology unit specializing in hematology and oncology conditions including lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemias, sickle cell disease, and other hematologic disorders
• Comprehensive skill development with chemotherapy administration, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and management of oncologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome
• Telemetry monitoring on unit with interpretation of dysrhythmias; experience with insulin and heparin drips
• Epic electronic charting system with interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Social Services
• Oncology experience preferred but not required; Med/Surg experience is required with at least 2 years of current acute care experience
• 72 hours of comprehensive orientation provided

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ONS (Oncology Nursing Certification) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care experience in Med/Surg required (must be actively working in specialty within the last 12 months)
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line management, PICC line care, and peripheral line management
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a manager/director or formal supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference
