IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, including blood product administration and central line management.
Required medication skills, including heparin, insulin, and PCA.
Neurological/psychiatric case skills, including spinal cord injuries.
Experience in orthopedic trauma and surgical drain management.
Respiratory case skills, including CPAP/BiPAP and oxygen administration.
Professional knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care.
Description:
This position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse.
The role involves working a 3x12 night shift schedule.
The average daily census on the unit is 22 patients.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
Weekend shifts are required, with a commitment to work every other weekend.
Clinicians may float to other units within their scope as needed.
Block schedule requests can be discussed with management.
Local candidates are accepted, with no radius restrictions.
RTO restrictions should ideally be no more than 5 days.
The facility will allow for client cancellations up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment.
Special requirements include extensive Med/Surg experience.
Skills in wound management and medication administration are essential.
The position involves patient education and interdisciplinary care planning.
Nurses will gain experience in various procedures and patient management techniques.
The patient population includes adults and geriatric patients, with a range of diagnoses.
Patients will come for elective surgeries and general medical care.
