Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN - Med/Surg Specialty: RN - Med/Surg Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (3 shifts per week) Experience: Recent experience with electronic medical records License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: Recent electronic medical records experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to achieve desired outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies expected outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing safe and humane patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of associates and patients. Requires associates to receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment.
