Description:
We are seeking experienced nurses.
Candidates must hold a current Wisconsin License, NIHSS certification, and CPR/BLS certification.
This is primarily an Adult Surgical Unit with a few pediatric patient beds.
Travel nurses may be required to float to other units.
This position will require every other weekend and holiday shifts.
Shifts are 12 hours long from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care.
Documents according to standards of care.
Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient.
Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
Utilizes clinical expertise to provide guidance to other departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, and appropriately escalates to the chain of command.
