Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Variable Shifts | Rotating | Onsite | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 40-bed medical/surgical/pediatric unit with an average daily census of 28 patients
- Maintain patient ratios of up to 5 patients on days/evenings (average 4) and up to 7 patients on nights
- Participate in every other weekend and holiday rotation as scheduled
- Float to alike units within skillset, including IMC-level care and nearby affiliate facilities as needed
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Collaborate with team members and ancillary staff to ensure a positive patient experience while managing shift changes and census fluctuations
Required Qualifications- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- EPIC charting experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills- Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to frequent changes throughout a shift
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
