Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving ortho, general, urology, and ENT patient populations
Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7 on night shift across varying acuity levels
Float to like units as needed; must be willing to float to comparable Medical-Surgical settings in the area
Participate in every-other-weekend and holiday rotation schedule
Be available for on-call assignments during low-census periods; call-back minimum is 2 hours
Adhere to facility infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined
Required Qualifications
Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
AHA or ARC BLS certification required
ADN or BSN degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and Orthopedic nursing experience
At least 1 completed travel assignment required
Epic EMR proficiency required
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with urology and ENT patient populations
Familiarity with multi-level care environments including ICU, Step-Down, and Med-Surg settings
Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, changing clinical environments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
