Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a Medical and Pediatrics unit, caring for adult patients only (travelers do not take pediatric patients)
  • Manage a diverse adult patient population with conditions including respiratory illness, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, and acute alcohol withdrawal
  • Float to all inpatient units as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Adhere to all facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccination during flu season
Required Qualifications
  • Active Wisconsin RN License required
  • BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
  • EPIC charting experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to frequent changes throughout a shift
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a positive, flexible attitude
