Key Responsibilities of the RN - MedSurg/Tele- Manage care for patients with acute or chronic diseases in a Level 1 Trauma setting
- Perform trach care and chest tube management
- Start and manage PIVs, glucommander, insulin and heparin drips
- Conduct IV insertion, care, and central line management
- Implement cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
- Develop discharge planning and patient education
Requirements of the RN - MedSurg/Tele- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- BCR competency (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) with EKG competency exam required
- ACLS preferred
- Minimum of 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
- Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills
