Job Description

This is a Travel position. You must live more than 30 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Medical/Surgical RN - Behavioral Health Co-Morbid Unit Shift Details

• 3x12-hour shifts
• Rotating Day/Evening/Night schedules
• Weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties per unit needs
• 48 hours billed at regular time will be considered

About the Unit

• A unique adult medical/surgical unit - one of only a handful of similar units in the country
• Specializes in caring for patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral issues
• An expanding unit looking for flexible, enthusiastic, and committed nurses to help it grow
• Nurses are eligible for dual-certification in both medical/surgical nursing and psychiatric nursing after the experience requirement is attained

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Willingness to care for a varied patient population in a changing environment
• Med/surg acute care experience is a plus

Requirements

• RN License - New York State only
• Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical RN experience
• Psychiatry/psychology experience required
• Telemetry experience required

Certifications

• BLS - American Heart Association (AHA) only
