Must-Have:
Candidate must have at least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2 or tertiary experience.
Candidate must have at least 1 year of Medical Surgical experience in a large hospital with over 450 beds.
Description:
This position requires a Registered Nurse floating between medical units based on need.
Patient population includes those with chronic illnesses, GI issues, infections, neurological issues, and mental health disorders.
Patients may undergo various procedures such as colonoscopies, thoracentesis, bronchoscopy, and minor surgeries.
Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, inter-professional communication, and EHR utilization.
Skills needed encompass IV therapy management, wound care, and patient monitoring.
Equipment utilized on the unit includes electronic records, IV pumps, and telemetry monitoring.
This position requires 12-hour shifts with three weekend shifts in a four-week period.
The nurse will float to other medical units as needed.
Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6.
Dress code consists of Caribbean Blue scrubs.
