Unit staffing includes a Unit Secretary on the day shift and Patient Care Technicians with ratios of 1:8 or 1:12. Equipped with standard hospital equipment. Documentation system utilized is Meditech Expanse. Scheduling requirements include working 2 weekends per month. Floating policy allows for floating to other Med Surg units, Emergency Department to care for Med Surg holds, or to ICU/PCU to care for Med Surg level patients. Bedside shift report and safety rounding are required for patient experience. Dress code requires navy blue uniforms. Unit guidelines and policies should be attached.
