Description:
Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Nursing Process for patients in the following age groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.
Documents thoroughly as care is delivered, following regulatory and hospital requirements.
Assumes responsibility for clinical competencies and professional development of self and others.
Practices in a clinical environment through application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Ability to work varied shifts and/or days including weekends and holidays.
Utilizes good judgment and demonstrates patience while utilizing best practices for patient care as expected by department leaders.
Maintains a professional demeanor at all times.
Works in a busy, stressful work environment where practice changes to meet new patient safety requirements, goals, or objectives.
Computer skills required: Word, Excel, Outlook, Electronic medical records software.
Demonstrates organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage workload expectations.
Exhibits interpersonal verbal communication and advanced math skills.

Patient Diagnoses include:
Sepsis, CIWA, Confusion, AMS, COPD, Post-op cares, AKI, Trauma, Respiratory failure, Bowel obstruction, Pyelonephritis, Cardiac conditions, Diabetes, GI conditions, Isolation, and SI with medical indications.

Interdisciplinary Support includes: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation.
Essential Job Functions:
Must demonstrate knowledge of various patient diagnoses and appropriate nursing care interventions.
Must be able to access and manage central lines, administer blood products, and understand isolation precautions.
Responsible for managing patients on BiPAP/CPAP, feeding tubes, and intravenous therapy.
Experience with postoperative care and management of complex medical conditions is preferred.
Must maintain competencies in advanced nursing skills such as wound care, medication administration, and emergency response procedures.
