Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care on a 32-bed Medical/Surgical unit with remote telemetry capabilities
  • Monitor and manage patients on telemetry as ordered, with 24/7 telemetry monitoring support
  • Administer and manage IV drips including Heparin in accordance with facility protocols
  • Care for a diverse medical patient population including those with COPD, CHF, GI Bleed, Cellulitis, TIA, Stroke (post-stabilization), and Alcohol Intoxication
  • Manage BiPAP patients and support hospitalist patient assignments
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license valid in the state of Indiana or compact licensure eligibility
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experience in a Medical/Surgical inpatient setting
  • Ability to work night shift
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with remote telemetry monitoring and interpretation
  • Familiarity with Heparin drip management and related protocols
  • Experience caring for BiPAP-dependent patients
  • Background working with neurological patients including stroke and TIA populations
