Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during overnight shifts
  • Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as part of ongoing patient monitoring
  • Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols
  • Complete orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score (two attempts maximum)
  • Obtain NIHSS certification prior to start date
  • Track and submit hours worked through the designated timekeeping platform
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission; no license hits accepted
  • Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
  • Active AHA BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
  • Active AHA ACLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
  • One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty - must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months; Charge RN references accepted
  • No open background or licensure issues; all background findings are reviewed by the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience within a single Med Surg / Telemetry location preferred, though combined experience across locations will be considered
  • Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
  • Experience working within a large health system environment
