Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data, with ECG rhythm recognition assessment completed during orientation
• Administer medications safely in accordance with facility protocols; safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Complete required annual hands-on competency training and pre-start modules as directed by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience required
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license must be in hand at time of submission - no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director within the applying specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months, is required for submission (Charge RN references accepted; co-worker references will not be considered)
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience within a single location for the required specialty tenure is preferred, though not required
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
