Job Summary
Join our team as a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse in Aberdeen, Washington. This contract opportunity is ideal for an RN seeking to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
You will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population on a Medical Surgical unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This role involves working night shifts, providing comprehensive nursing care, and contributing to a supportive and collaborative unit culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions, document observations, and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
- Participate in unit activities and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Float to other departments as needed, based on rotation and facility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system.

Shift Details
- Shift Type: Nights (NOC)
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Days Per Week: 3 days per week
- Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 14, 2026
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend off
- Call Requirements: Not specified.
- Additional: Ability to pick up extra shifts. Requests for Time Off (RTO) must be approved and will be added to the end of the contract.
Licensing Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State OR a multi-state compact license.
- If utilizing a multi-state license, verification of the following is required:
- Approved 6-hour suicide training.
- Verification of demographics from Nursys.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
