Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,206 per week in Farmington, NM

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Farmington, New Mexico, 87401!

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 43-bed Medical/Surgical unit serving adults 18 years of age and older
• Manage a patient population with common diagnoses including cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and CHF
• Operate unit equipment including VS machines, bladder scanners, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps
• Document and manage patient records using Cerner EHR
• Fulfill weekend shift expectations, with a policy recommending at least 2 weekend shifts per month
• Float to other units as needed per facility requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum ADN degree required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• BLS certification required - must be American Heart Association (AHA)
• Must achieve a minimum overall rating of 3.2 on the area-specific skills checklist

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Med/Surg experience strongly preferred
• Charge nurse experience is a plus, though not required
• Oncology skills are helpful but not required
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR
