Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,206 per week in Farmington, NM

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Farmington, New Mexico, 87401!

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 43-bed Medical/Surgical unit serving adult patients (18 years and older)
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6, addressing common diagnoses including cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and CHF
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including VS machines, bladder scanners, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner EHR system
• Participate in weekend coverage, with an expectation of at least 2 weekend shifts per month per unit policy
• Float to other units as needed based on facility needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum ADN required
• BLS certification required (must be American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Must achieve at least a 3.2 overall rating on the required skills checklist
• Submission requirements include: resume, submission form, area-specific competency exam, skills checklist, and completed screening questions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 years of RN experience preferred
• Med/Surg experience strongly preferred
• Charge nurse experience is a plus
• Oncology skills are helpful but not required
