Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit serving an adult and geriatric population
  • Monitor patients using remote telemetry equipment and document care using Meditech EHR
  • Manage common diagnoses and treatments including pneumonia, post-surgical recovery, and alcohol-related conditions
  • Maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio while delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Float to other departments as needed; no ICU or OB float required
  • Work approximately 50% weekend hours as part of the standard schedule
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
  • RN degree required
  • Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with remote telemetry monitoring
  • Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records system
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to support colleagues
