Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Progressive Care
Facility: Corewell Health – Lakeland Hospital Niles
Location: 31 N Saint Joseph Ave, Niles, MI
Shift: Days – 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
Schedule: 3 shifts per week
Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend: Every other weekend
On-Call: Not required

Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical and progressive care patients.
Assess patient conditions, identify nursing needs, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
Monitor patient status, evaluate treatment outcomes, and report changes in condition to the healthcare team.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments while following established safety protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Coordinate discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions to the next level of care.
Delegate appropriate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
Participate in patient safety initiatives, quality improvement activities, and ongoing professional development.
