RNs are not required to titrate drips. Common titratable or set rate drips include: Antibiotics, anticoagulation, antiplatelets. There is a Charge Nurse on each shift. Nurse aids or patient care technicians are available with a ratio of 1:10-15. Shifts include 0630-1900 and 1830-0700 with cyclic self-scheduling. Weekend requirement: Minimum every third weekend. Holiday requirement: Minimum of 2 holidays. There is no call or standby requirement. Floating requirements: Nurses may float to MedSurg. Unit-specific orientation includes classroom orientation and 2, 12-hour shifts on the unit. All requests for time off must be submitted upfront and additional requests will not be considered once submitted. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the assignment.
