Candidates must be willing to adhere to policies regarding artificial nails.
Candidates must pass a skills exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher.
Description:
The unit provides care for adults and geriatrics.
Common diagnoses include stroke, spinal cord injury, amputations, critical illnesses, and neurological diseases.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night.
No titration of drips is required.
The unit has a charge nurse available for each shift.
Nurse aides or patient care technicians are present on the unit with a ratio of 1:10-15.
Shifts are scheduled cyclically, and self-scheduling may be allowed.
Nurses are required to work every third weekend and at least two holidays.
There is no call or standby requirement.
Floating to MedSurg may be necessary.
Classroom orientation and two shifts of unit-specific orientation will be provided.

Time-off requests should be specified upfront, and additional requests will not be accepted.
The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts during the assignment.
Charting is conducted using a specific electronic health record system.
